The Nest @ Little Pips

Welcome to our baby room
 
Our 'Nest' opened its doors in September 2017 and we care for babies aged three months to two years old . We care for a maximum of twelve babies per day and we work closely with parents to support children's individual care routines and needs .
 
The Nest environment is bespoke and was designed to offer a warm and nurturing environment for babies to explore and develop whilst being supported by highly trained Early Years Practitioners.
 
The Nest has its own separate garden area where our youngest children can explore a natural environment and be independent . 
 
Babies and under two year olds in our 'Nest' follow a play based curriculum which is underpinned by the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and supports their individualised care needs.

Key staff within The Nest
Miss Katie Hinton

Deputy Nursery Manager

Katie is our nursery deputy manager and is currently working towards a level 5 in early years leadership and management . Katie works across both rooms leading practice but her wealth of experience is from working in baby rooms with under two year olds .

Miss Leah Hewitson

Senior Nursery Nurse

Leah has worked at Little Pips since 2017 and has progressed from Nursery apprentice to her current role today. Leah has a level 5 early years qualification and loves to plan creative activities for our babies to explore

Miss Ellie Godfrey

Nursery Nurse

Ellie has worked at Curry Rivel School for over four years and joined our nursery team this summer . Ellie has a foundation degree in early childhood studies and absolutely loves messy play !

Mrs Jodie Brown

Nursery Assistant

Jodie joined our team in Spring 2024 and works in our Nest three days per week , Jodie is working towards her Level three early years qualification .
